I agree with ADOX that the tint from those 3D glasses is annoying and that the screen should be brighter to compensate. The picture quality takes a small hit because of the tint and that really pisses me off, especially if I paid extra for the movie.

And yes, LONGER PODCASTS, PLEASE!

Have to disagree a bit about the MGS thing,
I think Konami/Kojima is more of the opinion that they are not interested so much in how to make a good movie
but more that if their game does not make a good movie as is then it shouldn’t be made at all so as not to alienate the existing game fans and hurt further game sales by having a subpar movie of the same name sorta thing.

On the 3D issue, it depends on the movie for me, but never realised until you said that the tint is kinda annoying. I wonder if they turn up the brightness to accomodate?

Great idea to put video . Really good podcast but it is too short

I just watched the video version and I have to comment about your commentary on Metal Gear Solid. I don’t play many video games but the Metal Gear Solid series is one of the only video games that is solely guided by its narrative. And John, the game is not a first person shooter. It’s third person stealth action. The only problem for its film adaptation is taking it’s incredibly intricate and, at times, confusing narrative and concentrating it into one film.
