Video – The 10 Films You Can Expect To Be Nominated For “Best Picture” At The Oscars

This is a little video I did for AMC about which 10 films I predict will be nominated for Best picture at the Oscars this year. Check it out:

    That video had quality dripping off it John, sounded like one take almost and really made me pumped to see these nominations.

    I like your list because of the mass market inclusion.

    Not sure the academy will include hangover,.sadly no matter what Chris Tapley was saying ;p

    Solid list John.
    The fact that there will be 10 nominees from now on makes me happy since there won’t be a case when a mass favourite film like TDK misses out. Star Trek is a really good choice. I agree with your list but I don’t know much about An Education.
    I think you are spot on with your list, now my turn to predict the winner and its going to be [drum-roll] “The Hurt Locker”. Its not my favourite of the year but I guess it will win.
    I know John you would have given it to “Up” but which is your second? I mean if Up doesn’t win which is likely then who would you want to win?

    Oops! I didn’t see one name there… Where the hell is “District 9″?. OMG John don’t you think it was one of the best last year?
    It would be in my Top 3. btw I haven’t seen An Education, Nine and Precious but come on one of these three can make space for D9.
    Also, I felt “Zombieland” was really good.

    I had absolutely no idea that there will be ten nominees. That makes things interesting or perhaps not. Will there now be token nominees..?

    Hey John Cheers….”UP” made the cut…thats fantastic, Beauty and the Beast no more is the only film nominated.

    That was pretty cool John, and 7/10 for the actual nominees! I’m not entirely surprised that Star Trek wasn’t nominated, it was awesome and I love it but just didn’t have the feel of best picutre. But District 9 now has a shot. Thought Hangover was in for sure after the Golden Globes but one thing doesn’t always have anything to do with the other. I still don’t think UP will win but I will admit that it’s the first Pixar film I’ve seen that actually lived up to the hype for once(and okay made me tear up a little).

    One question I must add…… Up will definitely will Best Animated… but is also possible for it to win Best Picture and actually take both? The likelihood is so low.. but is it possible to have both Oscars?
