My 3 Problems With Eddie Murphy Hosting The Oscars

Eddie-Selection.jpgSo it was made official the other day that Eddie Murphy is going to be the next host of the Academy Awards. Notwithstanding the fact that rumors about this selection surfaced a few days previous, it was a pick that caught a lot of people (myself included) by surprise.

Let me say this upfront: I am NOT completely against the idea of Murphy hosting the Oscars. I actually think there is some real potential there. I like Eddie Murphy. I think he’s a talented dude.

But with that being said, I do have 3 significant issues with his selection that I outline in the video below. Give it a watch and let me know your thoughts.

    And Murphy’s career has been in the toilet for awhile. I’d like to see how crazy a Jim Carrey hosted Oscars would be.P.S. Nick Diaz is a moron.

    I’m not a big Ratner fan but there’s one place he probably fits right in, it’s the Oscars. He’s a kiss ass trying to appeal to wide audience. Now, if he’d only quit directing and just produce awards shows I’d be happy.

    There’s no doubt Murphy’s career has sucked for about a decade and some change. With that said, I’d roll the dice on him. Murphy at his worst is still almost as funny as Billy Crystal and even though it’s been a while, I’ve still haven’t seen a bad stand-up performance by Murphy. He has always just seemed more comfortable on stage.
